Build Info and Engine

  • Atlas AS-D-DC
  • Standard Engine 300
  • Maxed Armor (except legs, ~73 each)

Armament

  • 3x LRM15+Artemis (9x ammo)
  • 2x Medium Pulse Lasers
  • CASE in right torso along side 2 DHS and 3x LRM Ammo
  • Guardian ECM (mount in legs to avoid early destruction)
  • AMS (1x ammo)
  • Fill remaining slots with DHSs such that you will have 16 (with engine heat sinks) in total

Playstyle and Hints

  • Artemis requires line of sight. Your ideal position will be ~500-800 meters away from the target and ideally within line of sight (e.g. river bank)
  • You are worthless in melee (LRMs have a minimum range of 180). If you don´t know what to do, fall back to your nearest friendly.
  • Conserve ammo by not overnuking low health enemies and only firing if you are absolutely sure the target will be locked for some more seconds.
  • If you get jammed by an ECM, don´t panic. Switch your ECM to counter (hotkey J) and continue firing LRMs. If no target is available for LRM fire switch to your Medium Pulse Lasers and engage whatever is jamming you, while constantly falling back to friendlies who can help you get rid of the pest.
  • If none in your lance can provide TAG, experiment with switching one Laser for it.
  • Add more armor than usual to your rear. If you are getting pounded, it will most likely be from behind.

don´t like that build its not heat efficent. 2xlrm20 arthemis with 2 large laser and smalest engine you put out always more than 1000dmg. I think its not important if you are slow or extremy slow ^^ you nearly can permanently fire if you spend 27 heat sinks in… its a money machine.

3xlrm15 ain´t bad too, but for 5 more rockets you lose valuable tons which make your atlas really heat efficent.

    Just my 2 xcent

    - Standart armor
    - 200 standart engine
    - Standart chassis
    - 2 lrm 20 arthemis (or 3xlrm 15 arthemis with a little less cooling)
    - 2 Large Laser
    - Ecm
    - Beagle Active Probe
    - Modules: Incrased Range, 360 degrees Module, Scope
    - Stuffed with heat sinks

You will get a lot of XP and Credits for spotting (Beagel Probe and ext. Range Module)

The DC Atlas is after 4000 Games the Mech with the best survability so far in the actual content.

Beware of Ravens… and always make sure enemies have a long way to your mech which you have direct line of sight. You will kill them on half way to you most times.

As you say Ecm and Beagle Active Probe is best in Legs…

without double heatsinks I have 1.28 heat effency with lrm 15´s and 1,4 with lrm 20´s… give em hell!!!

With a 200 engine you are really really slow :/ I had 2 Large Lasers in the build, but as you said: with 3xLRM15 you are not heat efficient enough. One thing I´d like to point out is: actual damage / second wise 3xLRM15 is far superiour to 2xLRM20 because not only are you firing more rockets but also the reload time is shorter. I guess it comes all down to personal preference and how much ammo you spend per round.
